It was said that the actual experience combined with a dedicated reading of books might be a better use of time and money than an MBA.
For me it depends. Others may have an MBA who make the most out of their knowledge and experience. Others who also have an MBA sometimes adds zero value to them. Sometimes, others fall between the two of these extreme examples.
We can actually maximize both and better appreciate the business world better though exposure in the MBA program, and the exposure to actual/real scenarios of life. We just need to have a clearer understanding of the things we wanted to do, the things we wanted to happen, and the things that are to happen...

Well said! It is absolutely advantageous to have an MBA and other post-graduate studies if you want to excel in your field. With fierce job market competition, the contest doesn't always go to the one that can outlast but also the one that can outwit. Certainly, an MBA will give you the tools.
